Our facilities offer a beautiful and perfect setting for dressage, hunter/jumper, eventing and combined training discipline riders, as well as the casual hobby rider that simply wants an ideal place to keep their horse!
The farm prides itself on providing top-quality horse care, with a simple philosophy that the best thing for a horse is high-quality pasture. Over 50 acres are maintained in pasture alone, with routine rotation of horses to allow grass to recover. Yearly liming and fertilization is also done to maximize pasture utilization. This, combined with on-site owner-management, means the best care for your horse.Vp>
The farm has two European-style boarding barns; our larger eight stall barn features 12 x 12 matted stalls, fans, a cobblestone aisle, double-sided dutch-doors, separate tack and feed rooms and an open wash stand area. Our original, four stall barn also features 12 x 12 matted stalls with fans, plus a huge brood-mare stall available for foaling.
Dressage riders will enjoy the 210 x 160 fenced, lighted, riding arena with outstanding sifted-screening footing, plus there are stadium jumps and ground work poles available for hunter jumper riders. Eventers plus casual riders enjoy more than a mile of cleared, wooded trails throughout the farm, many acres of open space for riding, and taking hacks or carriage rides alongside its scenic mile-entry drive. A round pen is available to use, a boarder bathroom is onsite, and there is plenty of room to store trailers. Boarders are welcome 365 days a year, 7 days week; we do ask that feed & turn-in/out schedules be respected when horses are visited or worked. Trainers are welcome, and liability releases are required for anyone who will be working with your horse.
Full monthly board is offered at $485 and includes daily turn-in/out (approx. 12 hour shift), as-needed hay (much of which is baled within a mile of the farm), fresh water, salt/mineral field supplements, high-quality feed, blanketing and routine integrated worming. While our feed is included in the board rate, you are welcome to provide an alternate feed for your horse if you prefer. Feed supplements are coordinated and given at no extra charge, but you are responsible for any medication/health treatments for your horse.
We recommend the use of the farm's vet and farrier and offer a $20 hold fee for these visits. You may certainly use your own farrier and/or vet and provide us with vaccination copies (fall and spring shots are coordinated with individual boarders). A current Coggins and current vaccinations are required to board a horse.
Most importantly, our living on-site allows us to easily monitor your horse, and quickly relay information to you about them if you are away. We pride ourselves on good communication with you, and making sure that your horse is happy, and healthy!
